The Acton Forum (www.ActonForum.com) is offering absolutely free websites to all local candidates in non-partisan contested elections.
All candidates (partisan races or non-partisan races) may also submit their campaign websites for a free link on our elections/campaign page. Advertising on the website is also available at a nominal charge.
Candidates who wish to have their website hosted by Acton Forum need to decide if they want to create the website themselves or have Acton Forum involved.
If doing it themselves, we will provide a folder on our website where a candidate can upload their information. They will have total control over the content which will not be edited by ActonForum except under extreme circumstances. They may make changes to the website as they wish. The website can be reached directly by typing in www.ActonForum.com/candidatename (we will send you an exact link) and can be accessed from our candidate/election page.
If a local candidate wishes to have ActonForum.com staff build the website, we charge a rate of $35 per hour. The typical simple website would take under 3 or 4 hours, with most updates taking 1/2 to 1 hour.
Readers can read upcoming local election and candidate information on ActonForum. We plan on sponsoring a series of questions and answers or a debate prior to the election and will have links to all local candidates' webpages as requested by the candidates. We will also accept questions that we will forward to the candidates upon request and post the questions and answers on the website.
