MEET THE CANDIDATES” NIGHT SET FOR MONDAY, MARCH 15, 2010

ALL CANDIDATES COMMITTED - ALL ACTON VOTERS URGED TO ATTEND
March 7, 2010 (Acton, MA 01720) --- The Acton Voters Group (AVG) will host a “Meet the Candidates” Night on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. in Room 204 at the Acton Town Hall.
“We’re extremely pleased that the three candidates seeking the two open seats on the Board of Selectmen, and the four candidates seeking the two open seats on the School Committee have all committed to attend,” said Dick Calandrella, Co-Chairman of AVG.
Calandrella noted that each candidate will have about 5 minutes to present their reasons for seeking office, and the rest of the “format will be completely open with voters asking live questions from the floor.”
The March 15th event will be telecast “live” to Acton homes via Acton Community Access Television Channels 8 and 45, and will be publicized through widespread E-Mail invitation to voters using various group mailing lists, through the distribution of flyers, and other activities through church and community groups and organizations.
“This is an important election for voters to select the right mix of candidates who will help direct the future of our community and our schools,” Calandrella said, “and we urge all Acton voters to come and meet those candidates on March 15th.”
